Sometimes when making custom dice there’s no visual references supplied, so I have to go off vibes only and make my own palette. It always helps when people provide a good written description of the character.

Sometimes I lean away from the obvious colour choices and work toward something a little more thematic beyond the character’s visual appearance. Sargasso’s set was one where I decided to embrace an aesthetic over the character himself.

Creating dice to match a character is more than just mixing colours or choosing inclusions. Another key element to consider is resin-form; what shapes and patterns will communicate the mannerisms or personality of the character.
